Alerto's in Westminster, CA

Mexican food is a very prevalent experience here in Southern California. One might think of Taco Bell first when talking about Mexican food, but franchised fast food can carry that feeling of mass produced, soulless profit.

Enter Alerto's, with portions so big, you'd think they didn't care about profit. While a burrito worth $5 at Taco Bell would like chips and soda to go with it, a burrito for $5 at Alerto's would seriously make you consider how much you can eat after you finish it.

Shown on the videos is a carnita taco, chicken taco, and an order of fries, while a drink was also bought. As the video shows, the carnita taco was filled to the brim with hearty meat and good vegetables. The chicken taco not only was nearly spilling lettuce, but was chock full of chicken and cheese. And top of all this, a single order of fries was a whole carton.

Located at 15681 Brookhurst St. Westminster, CA 92683, Alerto's is a great place to eat, especially considering it's located near Little Saigon, where a lot of the food is Vietnamese. If you live in the area, it's a great change of pace, and if you don't, you can't go wrong with their Mexican food if you're not feeling for Vietnamese.
